Michael Sales
SENSEI MICHAEL SALES JR. was introduced to the art of self defense in 1976 by Marine Corps instructor Victor Servano in the Bronx, New York. He moved to Nevada in 1980, and began studying American Freestyle Karate with his son, Michael in 1983.  Michael obtained the rank of brown belt, under Sensei Gary Shirrill.

In 1985 Michael began studying Kyokushin under Master Jayron Robinson who had studied under Master Jose Tolbe of Hawaii.  He received the rank of Nidan.

In 1990 he received the rank of Shodan under Carol Cox's Kiai Kenpo of Murray, Utah.

In 1999 Michael joined the American-Kyokushin organization under Shihan Frederick Buck.  He presently holds the rank of Sandan and is the American Kyokushin Branch Chief of Nevada.

Michael is married with two children and two grandchildren.

He believes that the art of Kyokushin is the "'ultimate truth"

CERVANDO LARA
Cervando was born in 1968, in Juchipila, Zacatecas, Mexico.   He was raised and graduated High School in Mexico.    In 1988 he came to the United States and resided in Elko, Nevada and has resided there ever since.   He joined the Martial Arts in 1994 under Sensei Michael Sales, in the Kiai School where he received his Shodan in 1997.   He also trained with Shihan Rynearson in the Kyokushin and received his Shodan in 1999.   He currently holds the rank of Sandan, which he received in 2006.

Cervando enjoys competing and has competed in full contact matches.   He believes that Karate strengthens the mind as well as the body and spirit.   He also believes that everyone is personally responsible for staying fit.   Cervando and his wife, Imelda, have two children, Eric and Vanessa.   In his spare time he enjoys exercising, bike riding, woodworking, painting and of course Karate.  He enjoys helping students learn the art of Karate in the Dojo.

LISA MARTIN
Lisa was born in Utah and raised in Southern California.   She has been a resident of Elko, Nevada for 22 years.   She is currently a Real Estate Agent and works at Trinity Realty and loves helping people buy or sell homes.

Lisa is married to Bob Martin and together they have four incredible children, Dallas, Lacy, Levi and Isaac.

Lisa has been studying Martial Arts since Spring, 1996.  She received her Shodan under Sensei Michael Sales, on October 18th, 1999.   She received her Nidan with the American Kyokushin Organization on January 01, 2001.

Lisa is very proud to be a member of Tiger’s Eye Martial Arts.  Sensei Mike, Cervando, and Charlie are a pleasure to train with, as well as all the students of Tiger’s Eye Martial Arts.   She believes Karate is a way to discipline the body in order to improve the spirit.

CHARLEY BAUMAN

CHARLEY BAUMAN
Charley was born in 1971 in Washington.  He has lived in Nevada for about 35 years.  He is married to Marlene with two children named Kaylene and Rhiley.  Charley is very happy to have them in his life.

Charley started Judo and wrestling at the young age of 10 years.   He has earned the brown belt in Judo.

Charley began studying Karate in 1996. He earned Shodan in 2001 under Sensei Michael Sales.



Other hobbies include hunting, fishing and working on classic cars.   Most of all he enjoys spending time with my children.
